It is an industry that India is well known for, and sadly, also one that requires intensive support and recognition. The National Consortium on Improving Livelihoods from Medicinal Plants and Non-Timber Forest Produce Based Enterprises dug in at this issue, bringing stakeholders from several sectors – farmers, farmer groups, scientists, government and aid organizations like the Christian Aid, UNDP and GiZ. Download this report, which encompasses concrete future implementation plans that were made over the course of the consultation.
