Sportz Village Foundation and its donor partner aimed to design and scale a grassroots sports program that could go beyond play — using sports as a tool for education, socio-emotional learning, health, and youth empowerment. The ambition was to make sports accessible to children and youth from underserved rural communities, especially girls, and to enable long-term developmental outcomes through a structured and inclusive sports ecosystem.
As knowledge partners, we supported the conceptualization, pilot testing, and scaling of the multi-year program from its early stages. Our team developed the theory of change and an impact assessment framework, aligning program goals with measurable social outcomes.
We guided the one-year pilot phase, testing program design and delivery models, gathering learnings from school-level and community-level engagement. Building on pilot insights, we are now supporting the program in deepening interventions, strengthening monitoring systems, and facilitating scaled adoption across multiple rural educational institutes through evidence-based learning and impact communication.
The engagement has enabled Sportz Village Foundation to establish a replicable and impact-driven model, fostering inclusion, life skills, and community participation. The program continues to expand its reach, integrating sports more deeply into education and youth development frameworks in the region.
