Moving out of extreme poverty – Conclusive evidence of BRAC programme working

The graduation model, initially inspired by   BRAC in Bangladesh, provides the extreme poor with support for immediate   needs such as food security and basic consumption, combined with longer term   measures to enhance skills and business capabilities. After several   randomized control trial (RCT) studies assessing the impact of the graduation   pilots around the world showing sustained improvements in the quality of life   for the extreme poor, there is now conclusive evidence that the Graduation   Model of assisting the extremely poor with basic necessities like food does   in fact help their living conditions.
