The drug regulator, according to this post is   not the only corrupt body in the visible landscape in this sector – many more   such ministries and bodies are involved in callousness and corruption. Here’s   an example – the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) approved 31 new   drugs between January 2008 and October 2010 despite mandatory clinical trials   on patients in India not being conducted.
