Ghana expands healthcare coverage

Ghana’s healthcare system required people to   pay money at every step of the way, even during emergencies, and this led to   many deaths. But this changed with the Ghanaian Government’s NHIS (National   Health Insurance Scheme) programme. Recently, under this programme, more than   700 national health insurance cards of mentally challenged patients were   handed out. Read more here.
