11 per cent of the world still lacks access to clean water

While in 2010 it was declared that about 89 per cent of the population of the world – 6.1 billion people had access to improved drinking water, 783 million people in the world still lacked access to safe drinking water. While the water MDG (Millennium Development Goal) may have been achieved, it leaves out about 800 million people with empty cups. Read more here.
