Affordable hospitals for the poor in India largely belong to the government, and these do not provide adequate care in maternity cases, and often lead to high rates of maternal and infant mortality. Lifespring hospitals have been helping change the scenario of maternity hospitals since its inception by providing care of the standards of a private hospital with about half the costs.
