India: Delhi governmetn launches scheme to make city ‘kerosene-free’

The Delhi government will be the first to city to become completely kerosene and its associated ills (fumes, pollution and vulnerability to accidents) free. The Delhi government is launching a scheme wherein 356,000 families using kerosene will be given liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) free of cost. Being eligible for acquiring LPGs is almost impossible for poor families due to lack of identity-documents and available finances. Read more here.
