India: Government announces hike in allocation under IAY

The government of India recently announced a hike in allocation of grants to BPL families under the housing scheme IAY (Indira Awas Yojana) from INR 45,000 to INR 75,000 per unit, an increase of about 67 per cent. Read more here.
