Would it have not been perfect when you ask someone how he/she visualises the future of an enterprise you get a vivid , detailed picture drawn and handed over to you ?

This is just what happened in this case.

In a small village near Solapur , Maharashtra when we were recruiting for women entreprenuers from SHG groups , we asked them at the end of presentation , to share with us how they see the role of the entreprenuer and the future of the enterprise. This is how they expressed themselves through rangoli (painting with colors)

What is intriguing is the fact that these women may not have travelled beyond their nearest town yet the aspirational image they carry for a successful and financially independant entreprenuer is surprisingly contemporary and fashionable. We took this as a gentle reminder for us not to make assumptions about these markets and the aspirations of who live here.
