India: ITC’s e-Choupal give the company a price edge
In India, while most companies face a problem of rising inputs cost, exacerbated by the problem of erratic monsoons, ITC has found itself a cost advantage. ITC’s social entrepreneurship chain e-Choupal, an ICT based service which cuts middlemen, connecting farmers directly to procurers, has been helping it cut down procurement costs. Read more here.
