In Bangladesh, timely information regarding crops and weather is unavailable to the smallholder, and mostly poor farmers. This information gap is being addressed through e-Krishok, a phone and SMS-based information service for the farmers. e-Krishok is the product of a collaboration between BIID (Bangladesh Institute of ICT in Development), Katalyst, a multi donor development initiative, and Grameen Phone.
