Child malnutrition in Madagascar

Stunting is a phenomenon in children occurring because of severely low availability of nutrition. It is irreversible, and Madagascar has the 6th highest incidence of stunting in children under the age of 5 in the world. The primary cause of this is poverty with more than 80 per cent of the population living on less than US$1/day. Read more here.
