Smart Solar, a subsidiary of Barefoot Power is a solar lantern company which is operating in Kenya. It has so far distributed a record 300,000 lanterns and lighting kits to the rural poor in Africa. It has set its sights on Kenya as a country next, given its massive underserved electrification. Read more here.
