India: Cisco helps banks fulfil the countrywide ATM presence requirement

The government of India has mandated that the banks operational in the country must have ATMs installed across the country, especially in the remote and rural regions of India. Towards this goal, the banks are being helped by the networking solutions being provided by Cisco through their ‘connected ATM solution’, which is a part of Cisco’s Internet Protocol Next-Generation Network (IP NGN) architecture and features Cisco’s 3G and CDMA connectivity options.
