| In their latest report, UN FAO said that about 12.5 per cent of the world’s total population, or 868 million people are currently suffering from hunger in the world. This is a significant downward revision from the estimate of 1 billion, or 18.6 per cent of the world’s total, made in 2009. Read more here.
