How poor water and sanitation affects Sierra Leone

Sierra Leone’s slums are a perfect example of what lack of sanitation is like. The Kroobay slum in Freetown, Sierra Leone has 12000 inhabitants and only about 4 public toilets which aren’t usually sanitized with detergents. Most people do not have water to wash themselves after relieving themselves, due to lack of water, effectively becoming vulnerable to diseases that could kill them, given their lack of access to healthcare services as well.
