Two development organizations invest in food security and clean cookstoves

Soros Economic Development Fund and the Industrialized Fund for Developing Countries recently announced their decision to invest an amount of US$9 million in the clean cookstove company CleanStar Mozambique, which is innovative in the way that it eliminates wood usage, and stimulates local rural economy by creating a demand for cassava, which is used as a biofuel.
