Bangladesh: The wave of ‘info ladies’

In a country where only 5 million people out of a 152 million have access to internet connection, a project launched by local aid agency D.Net and other community organization has a made a huge difference in the lives of tens of thousands of women in rural Bangladesh. ‘Info Ladies’, as they are called bike into rural Bangladesh regularly with laptops and internet connections, which helps women gain access to government services, communication with distance loved ones and more on a regular basis.
