Kenya: Dutch potato project to improve food security

In Kenya, potatoes are the second most important food crop, coming after maize. In view of this, current low production of the crop is unfortunate, in terms of the employment generation opportunities the farmers in the country are missing out on. Hence, Kenya is all set to benefit from a proposed Kenya-Dutch potato project which will streamline the processes of nutritional-crop planting, processing and marketing. Read more here.
