About 1.3 billion people in the world still lack access to electricity, of which 95 per cent live in SSA (sub-Saharan Africa) or developing Asia, and 84 per cent in rural areas. This report by the International Institute for Environment and Development analyses the delivery models which work best in scaling access to electrification products. While the case studies in centric to three countries, most of the conclusions made are not-country specific. Read the report here.
