The potential of mobile phones in transforming agriculture for smallholder farmers
Late in 2012, Mercy Corps conducted a baseline survey in Uganda, Zimbabwe and Indonesia to analyse the potential for bundling both information services for smallholder farmers with financial products for them. This survey would help stakeholders like mobile network operators, farmer organizations and others to create a suitable ecosystem for smallholder farmers. Read more about the results here.
