An international group of research organisations are collaborating on a project to boost Internet access in rural Sub-Saharan Africa. The discussions towards this end were started off by GRA (Global Research Alliance), an International organization that seeks to align the efforts of its members with those prescribed for UN’s MDGs. Under this programme, many of GRA’s members will be working on developing a communication infrastructure suitable for providing Internet access in rural Sub-Saharan Africa, in partnership with the organisation Macha Works.
