US$4 million funding for Washington based company
A Vashon, Washington based company, Burn Manufacturing has received US$ 4 million in financing from OPIC (Overseas Private Investment Corporation) (US$3 million) and General Electric (US$1 million) for a cookstove they have designed. This is a clean cookstove which will be widely applicable in East Africa to curb deforestation and indoor air pollution. Read more here.
