Use of inefficient biomass cookstoves may contribute to a total of 3 per cent of global deaths. Yet, the use of cleaner, more efficient cookstoves is not as widespread as it should be, irrespective of the wide ranging aid support the cause receives. A study in the Honduras, where two thirds of the households still use traditional inefficient cookstoves, aims to look at what constitutes a successful clean cookstove uptake within a community.
