South helps South – Indonesian agricultural initiatiatives

When a massive food crisis occurred in sub Saharan Africa in the 1980s, Indonesian farmers voluntarily responded by collecting funds and food. This fund has been used to set up agricultural centres in Tanzania and Gambia. This move exemplified South-South cooperation in hunger alleviation. Read more here.
