20,000 poor families to get toilets in rural Rajasthan

Under the “Mukhya Mantri Gramin BPL Awas Yojana” in Rajasthan, India, Vedanta Hindustan Zinc has joined hands with the Rajasthan Government to construct house-hold toilets for 20,000 BPL (Below Poverty Line) families in Rajasthan. This programme aims to discourage and eventually stop the practice of open defecation, of which India is the mainstay in the world. Read more here.
