Many definitions may provide an over-arching meaning to the phrase impact investing, but this post provides practical steps and measures that enable a firm to quantify their investment as impactful. The two measures suggested here include providing investors an ‘impact plan’, and providing an ‘impact statement’ annually to investors, stating the fund’s or enterprise’s nonfinancial performance.
