Nepal: How passive violence against women goes unprotested

The world has seen a number of atrocities against women which usually firmly protested against. However, there is one particular hazard that women are regularly put through in rural areas of the developing world – toxic smoke from inefficient cookstoves. In Nepal, the scenario is no different – 22 million people, or 80 per cent of the population, live with indoor air pollution from cooking fires. Read more here.
