Nigeria: Potentially, 112 million microinsurance customers

NAICOM (National Insurance Commission), the regulator of the risk bearing industry in Nigeria has announced that there may be as many as 112 million microinsurance customers in the country. It also mentioned the commencement of work on fine-tuning the regulatory and policy framework for microinsurance. Read more here.
