Standard Chartered and ADB to boost microfinance across Asia

The Standard Chartered Bank and ADB (Asian Development Bank) are partnering to help ADB’s developing member countries better avail services of microfinance. Under this initiative, Standard Chartered is going to be originating and servicing an amount of US$ 150 million for loans to the poor across Asia. ADB will partake through risk sharing through a Risk Participation and Guarantee programme on this portfolio for up to US$75 million. Read more here.
