One major factor contributing to solar cookers’ failure to go mainstream is the fact that night-time cooking, in the absence of the sun is impossible. A new stove innovation which has two arrangements – Grill and Over, is a multi-purpose hybrid solar cooker that cooks using direct solar heating during the day, and then using phase change material (which is molten sodium chloride) in the night.
