This report by Council on Energy, Environment and Water is a collection of alternate and innovative applications of renewable energy sources, other than simply to generate electricity. These new devices are designed for uses across the societal spectrum, and highlights innovations like solar aerator, geothermal cooking system, solar space  heating system, solar air-conditioning, and more.

This study compiles 14 case studies of diverse stakeholders like entrepreneurs, developmental agencies and non-governmental agencies in exploring alternate uses of renewable energy.
