A novel pathway for a mucosal TB vaccine

Microbiologists at the University of Buffalo, in collaboration with a few other universities recently published a paper about ground-breaking TB vaccine. Established in animal studies, it has been found that a novel, mucosal adjuvant, LT-llb dramatically boosts the potency of vaccines that are administered to mucous membranes. These mixtures of adjuvants and vaccines can be dried to a powder form and can be kept without refrigeration until needed. Read more here.
