Affordable housing in Africa

Experts predict that population in Africa will double from roughly 1.04 billion in 2011 to almost 2 billion in by 2020. Housing will come under particular strain in Africa, given the increasing rates of rural to urban migration, forcing people to settle down in slums which are inadequate to human standards of living. Even prefabricated houses which may be considered suitable in terms of housing standards and affordability are not suitable to African sentiments and preferences. Read more here.
