DataWind is a company which understands the needs of developing countries like India, when it comes to mobile phones and tablets. Headed by Suneet Singh Tuli, who believes that everyone in India should be connected to the internet, is behind India’s second set of ultracheap tablets, the Aakash-2 tablets. His goal is to make internet accessible by pairing ultra cheap tablets with ad-supported wireless services. Tuli supplied these tablets for US$40 to the Indian government, while his commercial price was at US$83. He hopes to soon reduce the cost to US$25, with free internet. Read more here.
