An overview of e-microfinance popularity in the world, and in India

This post gives an overview of the growth of e-microfinance in the world as  preferred means to manage their finances, by a number of the poor in the underserved parts of the developing world. While Kiva is an organization that mainly has its lenders lend to MFIs which then lend to borrowers, there are a number of institutions worldwide, like Zidisha, which let lenders give directly to borrowers. In India, examples include Milaap, Rangde and MicroGram. Read more here.
