DFID pledges funding to help women access clean energy

The Department for International Development (DFID) recently announced its plans to fund decentralized energy in the developing world, by funding projects that will provide electricity and clean cooking options to those deprived of it. DFID will be pledging a sum of £4.5 million to the ENERGIA International Network, and another £7 million to the GACC (Global Alliance of Clean Cookstoves). Read more here.
