East meets West to bring improved sanitation in Vietnam and Cambodia
The East meets West Foundation received US$10.9 million as a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to improve sanitation services and hygiene practices for the rural poor in Vietnam and Cambodia. In these countries, open defecation and inadequate sanitation practices lead to about 17000 deaths per annum. Read more here.
