Ex-Apple executive works on poverty eradication in India
Jeff Martin, who founded the non-profit called mPowering which has helped build schools and hospitals in Odisha, one of the states in India with lowest developmental indexes. mPowering uses the extensive number of cell phone towers, falling costs of mobile subscriptions and low GSM and Wifi costs of connectivity to help people climb out of poverty.
