FAO Food Price Index down by 7 per cent in 2012

The UN FAO’s Food Price Index, that signals   modulation of world food prices, dropped for the third consecutive month in   December 2012. This marks a reversal in the trends of rising food prices, led   by an international reduction in the prices of major cereals, oils and fats.   Read more here.
