Food security – precisely how bad is the crisis?

While the low output of soybeans from US and low output of   wheat from Russia have certainly sparked fears of a global food crisis and   sent the international media on an overdrive, a range of expert   economists food experts are of the opinion that overreaction could create   panic, galvanizing governments to apply export controls that would restrict   supplies of grains, pushing prices of food higher.
