India: Government set to spend INR 20 billion on solar mission

To keep the ambitious JNNSM (Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission) alive, and to woo private companies to produce solar energy, the government of India may have to spend as much as INR 20 billion. Under the second phase of the solar mission, to commence in 2013, the government plans to add 3000 MW by 2017. Read more here.
