India: Gujarat government rolls out healthcare scheme for the poor

The government of the Indian state of Gujarat has undertaken massive reforms in the free provision of healthcare to its citizens. It will be providing health insurance to some 18 million poor, while also providing health insurance of up to INR 200,000 to the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) of the society, and this amount would be inclusive of a part of the money required for travelling to the healthcare point.
