India: Half of Delhi’s population lives in slums

The capital of India – Delhi has a population of about 18 million. According to a note filed before the Supreme Court on management of municipal solid waste, about half of Delhi’s population lives in unauthorized colonies, slums and shacks, which lack and basic civic amenities. Read more here.
