India: Indian Railways to provide ‘houses’ for urban slum dwellers near the rail tracks

‘Sukhi Griha’ is the name of the special low-cost houses to be constructed by the Indian Railways for the slum dwellers with their colonies around the rail tracks, in Mumbai, Sealdah, Siliguri, Tiruchirapalli and Delhi. This is designed to reduce the encroachment made by slum dwellers. Read more here.
