India: President stresses the need for a revolution in the nation’s healthcare system

According to Pranab Mukherjee, President of India, stressed the need for universalization of healthcare access all through out India, enhancing self-reliance in this sector. According to him, the government is planning to increase its healthcare spend from the current 1.2 per cent of the GDP, to 2.5 per cent by 2017, and 3 per cent by 2022. Read more here.
