India: Rental Act to be amended to better the urban housing conditions
Exacerbating housing conditions for the poor in the urban parts of India has mobilised the Government of India to look at alternative ways of combating this challenge. Now, it has also planned to start a nationwide support campaign to urge municipalities to build rental homes, mainly for the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) of the society and the low income people.
