India: SHG organization to raise INR 10 billion from banks to expand operations
Sthree Nidhi Organization is a cooperative federation which was initially set up for women and their self help groups as a respite from the high-interest charging private MFIs in Andhra Pradesh. The organization is now looking to raise as much as INR 10 billion from private banks, and expand its credit portfolio to INR 15 billion in the current financial year. Read more here.
