Indoor air pollution increases risk of cancer in non-smoking Chinese women

According to a new research conducted by UB School of Public Health and Health Professions, the rate of lung cancer in Chinese women is among the highest in the world, despite the fact that less than 4 per cent of Chinese women smoke. This high rate of incidence is attributed to the fine particulate particles produced by the burning of coal for the purpose of heating or cooking. Read more here.
